Privacy Policy

Auree is a shared event-camera app: you and your guests capture photos and videos for an event, and they stay hidden until the reveal moment. Guests can join an event from the full app or instantly through Auree's App Clip by scanning a code or tapping an invite link. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Auree is operated by Rudrakshi Patel ("we", "us").

1Information we collect

We only collect what's needed to run Auree:

Account information. Your email address and display name, and an authentication identifier when you sign in with Apple, Google, or with an email address and password.
Photos and videos you add. The media you capture or upload to an event, stored so it can be revealed to that event's participants.
Event and participation data. The events you create or join, your role (host or guest), and related settings such as guest limits and reveal timing.
Device notification token. A push token so we can notify you when an event's photos are revealed.
Purchase information. When you buy a paid guest tier, the transaction is processed by Apple; we receive a record that the purchase succeeded. We never receive or store your card details.

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or crash-tracking tools, and Auree contains no third-party ads.

2How we use your information

To create and run your events, and to store and reveal photos and videos to the right participants.
To send you a notification when an event you're part of is revealed.
To process and validate in-app purchases.
To maintain your account, keep the service secure, and respond to your requests.

3How your content is shared

Photos and videos you add to an event are visible to the participants of that event, according to the event's visibility settings chosen by the host. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share data only with the service providers below, strictly to operate Auree.

4Joining with the App Clip

Auree offers an App Clip — a lightweight version of the app that opens when you scan an event's code or tap an invite link, without installing the full app. To keep your moments available to you, signing in is required before you join, so the App Clip collects the same information described above: your sign-in identity (Apple, Google, or email and password) and the photos and videos you add to the event.

Content you capture through the App Clip is stored under your account, so it remains available if you later install the full Auree app and sign in with the same account. Apple may automatically remove an App Clip and its on-device data after a period of inactivity; this does not delete the account or event content held in our systems, which is governed by the retention and deletion terms below.

5Service providers

Auree relies on a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf:

Supabase: hosts our database, file storage, and authentication.
Apple: provides Sign in with Apple, push notifications, and App Store purchase processing.
Google: provides Google Sign-In if you choose it.
RevenueCat: helps us manage and verify in-app purchases.

Each provider handles your data under its own privacy and security terms.

6Data retention & deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which removes your profile and associated content from our systems. When an event is deleted, its photos and videos are removed from storage. You can also email us to request deletion.

7Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to request a copy of your data. To exercise any of these, contact us at the address below and we'll respond within the time required by applicable law.

8Children

Auree is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

If your event includes minors, the host is responsible for having the right permissions to capture and share their photos and videos.

9Data security & international storage

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including access controls that restrict your content to you and the events you participate in. Your data may be stored and processed on servers located outside your country, including by the providers listed above.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
